HEARTH EXCURSIONS
Teffany sharing some garden knowledge In week 5, Art students and Cornucopians (Kitchen & Garden program) are going on an excursion across the oval to see Teffany Thiedeman’s Studio- Hearth and the surrounding garden. Educators get to Play
Recently, the Aeon Team took the opportunity presented by our host school’s Pupil Free Day, to run an intensive Professional Development training session with a focus on our amazing Kitchen, Herb & Bush Tucker gardens and their essential role in cultivating inclusion and learning at our service. Vala Advanced Boffer (Defender) 10 years +
Running from 2:30 - 4 on Saturday 19th of November at the Aeonacademy open day Ages 10+ The 'Defender Program' holds the martial arts fundamentals that all Live Action Masterclasses are based on, such as Knight School (currently running Wednesday's 4 till 5:30pm at Aeonacademy), Defender is for those who have 'graduated' from Vala boffering and are ready to advance to the next level. Terracotta Tiles
Make, or paint, a clay tile. Spend 1.5 hours playing with clay and underglaze to make something permanent and beautiful. Come and paint a terracotta tile! Either decorate a pre-made tile or make your own out of clay. Experiment with different textures and decorative techniques such as sgraffito, stencils and slip trailing. This workshop is suitable for all ages. Suitable for beginners or those with some clay experience. This workshop will be held at Yarralumla Primary School in the environs of Aeon Academy. Who we are.
Aeon Academy is run by the not-for-profit, cultural organisation Aeon Arts Ltd and works for the wellbeing of the community. Its aim is to deliver an Outside School Hours Education and Care service of the highest quality, and has been doing so for over 20 years.
The Aeon Academy team believes all children are innately gifted and talented and that education is a natural outcome of creativity. Everything we do is about nurturing their creative spark and inspiring them to learn through creativity and play. We strive to support families and recognise that our dedicated and experienced Educators are privileged to be a positive and formative part of your child’s life.
At Aeon Academy your child’s safety and wellbeing come first. Outside school hours education and care is our specialisation and our sole focus. Our engaged and caring leadership team works on site with their fingers on the pulse every day ensuring your child will experience a safe learning environment. Our Educators are supported to have the quality time needed to meaningfully engage with your child.

Our team of highly qualified Educational Leaders and Programming Directors meaningfully tailor programs to meet differing individual and community needs and interests, maximising your child’s engagement and learning. All of our unique Foundation and Specialised Programs promote creative thinking, encourage adaptable approaches to problem solving and open up endless possibilities for your child.
Environmental sustainability is an essential part of our philosophy. We embed sustainability in the day-to-day activities and programming of our Service. We believe in empowering children as active global citizens.
The Aeon Academy experience is akin to being among a caring family. We understand that learning is a lifelong journey and we strive to be an organisation that nurtures that journey; from very young children, to primary students, to teenagers and young people. We are an inclusive organisation that genuinely engages with our community. Our legendary Open Days are fun and free community events, bringing families and children together to enjoy meaningful and memorable experiences.
