Vessels of Light exhibition

Did you know our Creative Director Teffany Thiedeman is having an exhibition with her daughter Ochre Bodhi in Hobart, Tasmania?

Vessels of Light is a collaborative project of Red Ochre Studio of Dodges Ferry, Tasmania. The artists co-operated on many aspects of the work, including co-building most of the pieces.

This exhibition investigates containment and release using an essential ceramic archetype, the vessel – the vessel is laden with meaning and tension, emptiness and fullness, life and death, holding and letting go. What does the vessel hold, contrasted with the notion of revelation; the empty cut outs and piercings created in ceramic forms reveal an inner light. The exploration of light emerging from spaces, creating shadow, pattern and shape holds much symbology, illumination, hope, truth, a light in the dark.
