For after-school care, parents have plenty of choice for children from 3 to 12 years. Aeon Academy specialises in original and dynamic programs designed and developed around the ‘education through creativity’ experience. You’ll find unique opportunities for your children, not found elsewhere in Canberra. Aeon Academy’s programs and service are ranked as Exceeding the National Quality Standards (by ACECQA) and are truly inspirational.
Foundation Programs
Age group at YPS: 5 to 12 years
Age group at Orana: 4 to 12 years
Schedule Monday – Friday
- 3:00pm – 6:00pm ($42.72 per regular session/ $46.98 casual session)
Childcare Subsidy approved. Healthy afternoon snack provided.
Children end their day on a high with our foundation Creative Play program. They get to meet new friends, interact with our expert educators, and get stuck into all sorts of creative play—arts and crafts, guided nature play, active games and our very popular Play Pods (loose construction parts children build with).
For even greater variety and additional ‘education through creativity’ for your child, explore our Specialised programs, specifically designed for children aged 7 -13 (age 6 at our discretion). These are super inspiring options.

Vala Adventures program
Age Group: 7 to 16 years

Schedule: 4:00 –5:30pm Wednesday & Thursday. Friday online.
Cost:$17.10 surcharge per session ($59.82 total per session)

Fun Vala Adventures your child will never forget! Playing a character in a collaborative tale; they’ll experience a unique blend of storytelling, tabletop roleplaying and live-action physical games. Led by a supportive & creative team of educators, performers & mentors this exciting, one-of-a-kind program will engage & inspire.
Choose your Adventure…
Creative Catalyst program
Age Group: 7 to 16 years
(age 6 at our discretion)
Schedule: 4:00 –5:30pm Monday, Tuesday & Thursday
Cost: $17.10 surcharge per session ($59.82 total per session)
With our Creative Catalyst program, your child will create their very own masterpieces and learn new skills along the way in these exciting, artist-led workshops across a range of mediums including Painting, Ceramics, Mixed Media, Sculpture & Printmaking.
Age Group: 5 to 12 years
Schedule: 3:15 – 4:15pm Wednesday only
Cost:$120-150 per term.
In collaboration with the Dante Alighieri Society of Canberra, children can take advantage of these generously subsidised language classes which are led by Italian teachers. Currently for children already attending ASC, please get in contact if your child is interested in attending
Age group: 3 to 5 years
Schedule Monday-Friday
- 2:30pm – 6:00pm ($64.54 per session)
- 2:45pm – 6:00pm ($63.53 per session)
- 3:00pm – 6:00pm ($68.42 per session)

This foundation program seeks to nurture the creative spark in young children. Our expert educators motivate children to learn through creativity providing enriched learning experiences across a broad range of activities including arts & crafts, dress ups, storytelling, guided nature play with access to the kitchen & bush tucker garden and more. Aeon Academy offers a playful space for imagination and compassion to grow.
All programs are designed by experts with over 20 years of experience, each with their own creative spark.
Aeon Academy staff collaborate with Yarralumla Primary School to provide a supervised transition for Yarralumla Kindergarten, Preschool and Montessori students who are collected from their classrooms at the end of their school day. Children then enjoy a healthy afternoon tea.
